Welcome, this is a brief summary of what we try to do at Buckhill Outfitters.

Growing up in the green mountains has prepared me for a future I didn't know was coming. Like most young boy's I went wherever my little legs would take me, not knowing how much I would come to love all of gods creations, combined with the adventurous side of me, the thrill of the chase will never die. I knew soon I had to integrate this into my life a.s.a.p! The creation of Buckhill outfitters comes from me wanting to bring the big dollar adventure to the hardworking folks without the big dollar price tag. We specialize in whitetail deer, black bear, moose, and turkey, last but not least fishing.
Turkey season is our first season of the year, starts in May cherp cherp, gobble, the sounds of tom's showing their stuff first thing in the morning is enough to get anyone's blood pumping. Watching the dew evaporate off the grass and the turkey's fly down from their roost, you start your campaign of calls to get them to come in. Hunting from sunrise until noon then hitting the trout streams for some native brook trout fishing while you talk about the day's hunt.
The quality of our hunts are second to none, though VT proves to be challenging with high peeked ridge tops and endless trial system that will take you through pinches, valleys, bottlenecks, drop offs, swamps, bowls, fingers, funnels, river bottoms, beaver ponds, natural running streams on almost every mountain, the vista's are indescribable, this is real deal hunting, ambush, spot-n-stock hunting with no bait! I put in over 500 hrs in the woods before the season even starts combined with trail cam recon to ensure the highest chance of success.
Our bear season starts in sep. brisk cold mornings that change into warm sometimes hot days, waiting for the arrival of your target, around mid morning you switch to a spot-n- stock stealth mission around the area, mid afternoon you return to your ambush location always on a natural food source route, again waiting for your black ghost to show !

Our whitetail season starts in October when the foliage is kicking into high gear, the leaves are every color of the rainbow falling at a slow pace, the day starts at your ambush location as you watch the sun start to come up over the mountain tops you know it's on! The whitetails start their pre rut exploring at this time and movement has increased does start to build fat for the winter and the bucks follow!
Rifle season starts in November at this time of the year all leaves have dropped from the trees, sometimes snow on the ground, cold mornings are sure to wake you up, at this point the rut is on and deer movement is at it's highest, rattling, and deer calling mixed with estrus lure work awesome at this point, again morning starts in stand before sunrise, dress "warm" with ability to shed a layer, mid morning spot-n-stocks will take you searching for fresh track in the snow, checking all food sources you'll make your way back to your ambush location for a nice evening sit waiting for a flash of a horn or tail.
